The Light that lightens...

In Isaiah 2:32, Simeon prophesied concerning Jesus that He is “A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.” In other words, Jesus is the Light that lightens. Jesus came to give light that dispels darkness, for people sitting in darkness to see the light; to open blind eyes; for salvation of people and nations.

This Light can also lighten your burdens. In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus encourages you to give Him your heavy burdens in exchange for His light burden. In fact, if you don’t want the burdens you can cast (throw) your burdens on Him and He will give you rest. May He lighten your burdens and make a way for you, in Jesus mighty name!

As the light of the stars cannot be brought down or put out, may your light never go out, nor go down. The sun shall be no more your light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light to you: but the LORD shall be to you an everlasting light, and your God your glory. Your sun shall no more go down; neither shall your moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended. (Isaiah 60:19-20).

Whenever you see lights, remember the Light that lightens came because of you.

May God bless you richly!
