Attacked from before and behind? You will win!
Attacked from before and behind? You will win!
In the battle of Marathon which took place in 490 BC, the Persians outnumbered the Athenian soldiers 100,000 to 20,000, yet the Athenians won by a sudden thrust which surprised the Persians and they started running away. 6,400 Persian soldiers were killed, Athens lost only 192.
It does not matter the kind of battle you are facing, the Lord of Hosts, the commander of armies is on your side and you will win. When battles face you in front, from the back and even from the sides, don’t be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you and you will prevail.
In 2 Chronicles 13, Abijah, king of Judah was outnumbered in a war with Jeroboam king of Israel. Jeroboam showed up with 800,000 valiant, well trained, skilled soldiers, Abijah had 400,000. At the end of it all, 500,000 of Jeroboam’s soldiers lay dead. The God who help Abijah win, the God who came through for Abijah, will come through for you in Jesus name!
Cry out to God in your situation, like Abijah did, then look up, smile, rejoice, because the God of heaven’s armies is by your side. Victory is sure!
Peace!
13But Jeroboam had set an ambush to come from the rear, so that [Israel] was in front of Judah and the ambush was behind them. 14When Judah turned around, behold, they were attacked both front and rear; so they cried to the LORD, and the priests blew the trumpets. 15Then the men of Judah raised a war cry, and when the men of Judah raised the war cry, then it was that God routed Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah. 16When the sons of Israel fled before Judah, God gave them into their hand. 17Abijah and his people defeated them with a great slaughter, so that 500,000 chosen men of Israel fell slain. 18Thus the sons of Israel were subdued at that time, and the sons of Judah conquered because they trusted in the LORD, the God of their fathers.
