Set up?
Have you been set up to fail? or set up to succeed? If God is on your side, why are you going through the challenges you are facing? why won't things just fall in place in all areas of my life?
You are not the only one asking these questions. David asked the same set of questions after He was promised greatness, but was in many near-death situations when king Saul was chasing him from caves to cities to mountain tops and valleys. He recently had a coronation party and now this. Daniel must have asked the same set of questions in the lion's den. Mrs. Job must have pondered these same questions after one challenge after another faced her once prosperous family. Through all of lives challenges, one thing is sure: You will end well. You will come out victorious. The God who protected and established David on the throne is still your God and will take you to your throne of greatness, if you do not give up or throw in the towel. The God that brought Daniel out of the lion's den and promoted him, will bring you out of every 'den' situation and promote you; in Jesus mighty name!
In 2 kings 23, Jehoiakim, the 18th king of Judah, whose name means 'whom God has set up' was set up to succeed. He, however, followed the ways of evil, despising God, and ultimately failed. In present day terms, he refused to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and saviour. His original name was Eliakim, which means 'whom God will raise up'. He still had the potential of being raised up.
To set up on high those that are low; that those who mourn may be lifted to safety (Job 5:11)
God's purpose is that no matter where you are in life, you have been destined for glory.
You have been set up to succeed. For surely there is an end, - a glorious future for you - and your expectation shall not be cut off. You will not be denied your hope, because Jesus Christ in you is the hope of glory and your hope will be delivered into your hands; in Jesus mighty name. You are coming out well! You are coming out glorious! You will emerge successful!, in Jesus' victorious name! Peace!
You have been set up to succeed.
The Lord GOD is my strength, And He has made my feet like hinds' feet, And makes me walk on my high places. (Habakkuk 3:19)
