Father of fathers
Prayers 1. Lord, help me to always qualify for and enjoy your Fatherly blessings in Jesus’ name. 2. My head and life will not reject blessings in Jesus’ name.
Text: Psalm 103:13 The LORD is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him.
Happy Father’s Day to all fathers all over the world. It is our prayer that God will continue to sustain you, provide for you, make a way for you, strengthen you and perfect all that concerns you and yours in Jesus’ name.
Our thoughts and prayers are with families who do not have their fathers and sons with them or who have not yet given birth to sons as they desired. May God in His supernatural strength uphold and comfort you in Jesus’ name.
Who is a father? This has been defined as: · A male parent · One that originates or institutes. · To be the founder, producer, or author of
On the other hand, Dad has been defined as someone who gets up everyday and does whatever he can to put a roof over your head, clothes on your back and food on your table.
Our Heavenly Father · God is the supreme Father…the Father of fathers. · He provides (Psalm 23) · He protects. · Anoints. · Promotes. · Defends. · Makes a way where there seems to be no way. · Fights your battles and defeats your enemies (Exodus 14-15)
May God continue to provide, protect, anoint, defend, and promote you and yours in Jesus’ name.
May God make a way for you where there is no way in Jesus’ name.
May God fight your battles, defeat your enemies, and give you total and permanent victory in Jesus mighty name.
God our Father: · Is the Almighty God (Genesis 17:1) · Wants us to walk before him in perfection as we walk with Him to help us do this (Genesis 17:1, Matthew 5:48) · Is a faithful God. · Is a dependable father. · Is an ever-present father. · He has unlimited resources (Psalm 24:1, Haggai 2:8)
May God continue to prove His Almightiness in your life, family, career, finances, health, ministry and destiny in Jesus’ name.
May God be faithful to you and yours and remain your dependable and ever-present Father in Jesus name.
Note that not everyone God the Father created is a child of God. Some are children of God the Father, the father of our Lord Jesus Christ and some are children of the devil according to John 8:44: For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.
· He has made a way for you to be delivered from sin and have eternal life (John 14:6, 1 Timothy 2:5-6, Romans 6:17-18, 22, 1 John 5:11-12).
· He is a merciful Father (Psalm 136, Lamentations 3:22)
· Your maker is your husband. For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. (Isaiah 54:5)
· He has promised that: I will be your father and you will be sons and daughters of the Almighty. …17“Therefore come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” 18And: “I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” (2 Corinthians 6:17-18)
· I will help you (Isaiah 41:13)
· A father cares: casting all your cares (anxiety) on Him for He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7)
· A father of the fatherless: 5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.6 God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land. (Psalm 68:5-6)
· When He blesses you, it is forever, it is permanent, no one can change it. (Ecclesiastes 3:14, Genesis 12:1-3; 17:1-8, Numbers 23:30; Psalm 33:9)
· God has also given the power of irreversible blessings to earthly fathers (Genesis 27:26-29, 33) ” 27So he came and kissed him; and Isaac smelled his clothing and blessed him and said, “The scent of my son [Esau] Is like the aroma of a field which the LORD has blessed; 28Now may God give you of the dew of heaven [to water your land], And of the fatness (fertility) of the earth, And an abundance of grain and [d]new wine; 29May peoples serve you, And nations bow down to you; Be lord and master over your brothers, And may your mother’s sons bow down to you. May those who curse you be cursed, And may those who bless you be blessed.”
33Then Isaac trembled violently, and he said, “Then who was the one [who was just here] who hunted game and brought it to me? I ate all of it before you came, and I blessed him. Yes, and he [in fact] shall be (shall remain) blessed.”
Receive your Father’s blessing God through Isaac (laughter) and Moses declared blessings on Israel (A prince who has power with God and has prevailed). You will prevail in life in Jesus’ name.
We are the spiritual Israel and sons and daughters of Abraham by faith and therefore can receive the blessings of Abraham declared over his children.
Declare a loud amen as these blessings are being proclaimed.
Genesis 49:8-27 3“Reuben, you are my [b]firstborn; My might, the beginning of my strength and vigor, Preeminent in dignity and preeminent in power [that should have been your birthright]. 4“But unstable and reckless and boiling over like water [in sinful lust], you shall [c]not excel or have the preeminence [of the firstborn], Because you went up to your father’s bed [with Bilhah]; You defiled it--he went up to my couch. 5“Simeon and Levi are brothers [equally headstrong, deceitful, vindictive, and cruel]; Their swords are weapons of violence and revenge. 6“O my soul, do not come into their secret council; Let not my glory (honor) be united with their assembly [for I knew nothing of their plot]; Because in their anger they killed men [an honored man, Shechem, and the Shechemites], And in their self-will they lamed oxen. 7“Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; And their wrath, for it was cruel. I will divide and disperse them in Jacob, And [d]scatter them in [the midst of the land of] Israel. 8“Judah, you are the one whom your brothers shall praise; Your hand will be on the neck of your enemies; Your father’s sons shall bow down to you. 9“Judah, a lion’s cub; With the prey, my son, you have gone high up [the mountain]. He stooped down, he crouched like a lion, And like a lion--who dares rouse him? 10“The scepter [of royalty] shall not depart from Judah, Nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, Until Shiloh [the Messiah, the Peaceful One] comes, And to Him shall be the obedience of the peoples. 11“Tying [e]his foal to the [strong] vine And his donkey’s colt to the choice vine, He washes his clothing in wine [because the grapevine produces abundantly], And his robes in the blood of grapes. 12“His eyes are darker and sparkle more than wine, And his teeth whiter than milk. 13“Zebulun shall dwell at the seashore; And he shall be a haven (landing place) for ships, And his flank shall be toward Sidon. 14“Issachar is [like] a strong-boned donkey, Crouching down between the sheepfolds. 15“When he saw that the resting place was good And that the land was pleasant, He bowed his shoulder to bear [burdens], And became a servant at forced labor. 16“Dan shall judge his people, As one of the tribes of Israel. 17“Dan shall be a [venomous] serpent in the way, A fanged snake in the path, That bites the horse’s heels, So that his rider falls backward. 18“I wait for Your salvation, O LORD. 19“As for [f]Gad--a raiding troop shall raid him, But he shall raid at their heels and assault them [victoriously]. 20“Asher’s food [supply] shall be rich and bountiful, And he shall yield and deliver royal delights. 21“Naphtali is a doe let loose, [a swift warrior,] Which yields branched antlers (eloquent words). 22“Joseph is a fruitful bough (a main branch of the vine), A fruitful bough by a spring (a well, a fountain); Its branches run over the wall [influencing others]. 23“The [skilled] archers have bitterly attacked and provoked him; They have shot [at him] and harassed him. 24“But his bow remained firm and steady [in the Strength that does not fail], For his arms were made strong and agile By the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, (By the name of the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel), 25By the God of your father who will help you, And by the [g]Almighty who blesses you With blessings of the heavens above, Blessings lying in the deep that couches beneath, Blessings of the [nursing] breasts and of the [fertile] womb. 26“The blessings of your father Are greater than the blessings of my ancestors [Abraham and Isaac] Up to the utmost bound of the everlasting hills; They shall be on the head of Joseph, Even on the crown of the head of him who was the distinguished one and the one who is prince among (separate from) his brothers. 27“Benjamin is a [h]ravenous wolf; In the morning he devours the prey, And at night he divides the spoil.” 28All these are the [beginnings of the] twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father said to them as he blessed them, blessing each one according to the blessing appropriate to him
Deuteronomy 28:1-14 1“Now it shall be, if you diligently listen to and obey the voice of the LORD your God, being careful to do all of His commandments which I am commanding you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. 2All these blessings will come upon you and overtake you if you pay attention to the voice of the LORD your God. 3“You will be blessed in the city, and you will be blessed in the field. 4“The [a]offspring of your [b]body and the produce of your ground and the offspring of your animals, the offspring of your herd and the young of your flock will be blessed. 5“Your basket and your kneading bowl will be blessed. 6“You will be blessed when you come in and you will be blessed when you go out. 7“The LORD will cause the enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you; they will come out against you one way, but flee before you seven ways. 8The LORD will command the blessing upon you in your storehouses and in [c]all that you undertake, and He will bless you in the land which the LORD your God gives you. 9The LORD will establish you as a people holy [and set apart] to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the LORD your God and walk [that is, live your life each and every day] in His ways. 10So all the peoples of the earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will be afraid of you. 11The LORD will give you great prosperity, in the offspring of your body and in the offspring of your livestock and the produce of your ground, in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give you. 12The LORD will open for you His good treasure house, the heavens, to give rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand; and you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow. 13The LORD will make you the head (leader) and not the tail (follower); and you will be above only, and you will not be beneath, if you listen and pay attention to the commandments of the LORD your God, which I am commanding you today, to observe them carefully. 14Do not turn aside from any of the words which I am commanding you today, to the right or to the left, to follow and serve other gods.
Deuteronomy 32:6-29
The Blessing of Moses 1This is the blessing with which Moses the man of God [a]blessed the sons of Israel before his death. 2He said, “The LORD came from Sinai, And dawned on them from Seir; He shone forth from Mount Paran, And He came from among ten thousand holy ones; At His right hand was a [b]flaming fire, a law, for them. 3“Indeed, He loves His people; All [c]Your holy ones are in Your hand. They followed in Your steps; They accept and receive direction from You. 4“Moses commanded us with a law, As a possession for the assembly of Jacob. 5“The LORD was King in Jeshurun (Israel), When the heads of the people were gathered, The tribes of Israel together. 6“May [the tribe of] Reuben live and not die out, [d]But let his men be few.” 7And [Moses said] this of [e]Judah: “Hear, O LORD, the voice of Judah, And bring him to his people. With his hands he contended for them, And may You be a help against his enemies.” 8Of Levi he said, “Your [f]Thummim and Your Urim belong to Your godly man [Aaron], Whom You tested and proved at Massah, With whom You contended at the waters of Meribah; 9Who [g]said of his father and mother, ‘I did not consider them’; Nor did he acknowledge his brothers, Nor did he regard his own sons, For the priests observed Your word, And kept Your covenant. 10“The priests shall teach Your ordinances (judgments) to Jacob, And Your law to Israel. They shall put incense [h]before You, And whole burnt offerings on Your altar. 11“O LORD, bless Levi’s substance (ability), And accept and take pleasure in the work of his hands; Crush and shatter the loins of those who rise up against him, And of those who hate him, so that they do not rise again.” 12Of Benjamin he said, “May the beloved of the LORD [i]dwell in safety by Him; He shields and covers him all the day long, And he dwells between His shoulders.” “Blessed by the LORD be his land, With the precious things of heaven, with the dew, And from the deep water that lies beneath, 14With the precious fruits of the sun, And with the precious produce of the months. 15“With the best things of the ancient mountains, And with the precious things of the everlasting hills, 16With the precious things of the earth and its fullness, And the favor and goodwill of Him who dwelt in the bush. Let these blessings come upon the head of Joseph, And upon the crown of the head of him who was distinguished [as a prince] among his brothers. 17“His majesty is like a firstborn young bull, And his horns like the horns of the wild ox; With them he will gore the peoples, All of them together, to the ends of the earth. And those are the ten thousands of Ephraim, And those are the thousands of Manasseh.” 18Of Zebulun he said, “[k]Rejoice, Zebulun, in your interests abroad, And, Issachar, in your tents [at home]. 19“They will call the peoples to the mountain (Mount Carmel); There they will offer sacrifices of righteousness; For they will draw out the abundance of the seas, And the hidden treasures of the sand.” 20Of Gad he said, “Blessed is the one who enlarges Gad; He lurks like a lioness, And tears the arm and the crown of the head. 21“He selected the best [land] for himself, For there the leader’s portion was reserved; Yet he came with the leaders of the people; He carried out the justice (righteous will) of the LORD, And His ordinances (judgments) with Israel.” 22Of Dan he said, “Dan is a lion’s cub, That leaps forth from Bashan.” 23Of Naphtali he said, “O Naphtali, satisfied with favor, And full of the blessing of the LORD, Take possession of the sea [of Galilee] and the south.” 24Of Asher he said, “More blessed than sons is Asher; May he be favored by his brothers, And may he dip his foot in oil. 25“Your strongholds will be iron and bronze, And as your days are, so will your strength, your rest and security be. 26“There is none like the God of Jeshurun (Israel), Who rides the heavens to your help, And through the skies in His majestic glory. 27“The eternal God is your refuge and dwelling place, And underneath are the everlasting arms; He drove out the enemy from before you, And said, ‘Destroy!’ 28“So Israel dwells in safety and security, The fountain of Jacob alone and secluded, In a land of grain and new wine; His heavens also drop down dew. 29“Happy and blessed are you, O Israel; Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD, The Shield of your help, And the Sword of your majesty! Your enemies will cringe before you, And you will tread on their high places [tramping down their idolatrous altars].”
You will not fail in your role as fathers, what you need to excel, may God abundantly provide to you in Jesus’ name.
May the Fatherly blessings conferred by God be your portion in Jesus’ name. Your life will not reject blessings in the mighty name of Jesus.
