Increase in Stature and Wisdom Back to School Blessings
Prayers
1. Father, let this upcoming academic, career, business and environmental year be favourable to me in the name of Jesus.
It is my prayer that: God will cause you to excel through wisdom, God’s grace, and divine favour in the name of Jesus.
Text: Luke 1:80, 2:40, 2:52
Luke 1:80 - And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.
Luke 2:40 - And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.
Luke 2:52 - And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and people.
We have already seen the place of learning in desirable growth; waxing strong through wisdom and the place of sacrifice in delivering to us a glorious day of showing and manifestation.
You will not miss your day of glory in the name of Jesus.

Ø Insights through study
Ø Excelling through commitment
May God, give you grace to learn, understand what you are learning and have learnt, give you insights and cause you to excel through commitment in Jesus’ name.
As we move into the blessing aspect of this back-to-school series, we will examine further:
· Increasing in wisdom and being filled with wisdom.
· The place of the grace of God in excelling and shining.
· The impact of favor with God and people.
Why is wisdom very important?
We cannot solve problems at the level we were on when we created the problem or when the problem was created for us.
Considerations
· Increasing in wisdom and being filled with wisdom.
ü Wisdom has been defined as the correct application of knowledge
ü Wisdom has been expressed as that which enables men to judge what are the best ends (goals, accomplishments) and the best means (how) of attaining them. Prudence (foresight, judgement, caution) is practical wisdom applied in the best time and manner to secure the best ends.
ü God gave Solomon wisdom (1 Kings 3:24, 4:29-34, 5:12, 7:14, 10:4-24). He can also give you wisdom to stand out.
ü The Bible states in Proverbs 4:7 that wisdom is the principal thing – the most important thing and that we should work towards getting wisdom and understanding.
ü “The beginning of wisdom is: Get [skillful and godly] wisdom [it is preeminent]! And with all your acquiring, get understanding [actively seek spiritual discernment, mature comprehension, and logical interpretation].
ü Wisdom defends you as it guides you out of danger. In Ecclesiastes 7:12, the Bible states: For wisdom is a protection even as money is a protection, But the [excellent] advantage of knowledge is that wisdom shields and preserves the lives of its possessors.
ü Wisdom is better than strength or weapons (Ecclesiastes 9:16, 18)
ü Wisdom is profitable to direct you and helps you succeed (Ecclesiastes 10:10)
May God give you the grace to correctly apply knowledge in Jesus’ name.
May God give you wisdom to judge what are the best ends, goals and accomplishments and the best means of attaining them in Jesus’ name.
May God grant you the grace to be prudent, applying foresight, judgement, and caution to do things in the best time and manner to secure the best ends in Jesus’ name.
How do you get wisdom?
Ø Ask God to give you wisdom: If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. (James 1:5)
Ø The Lord gives wisdom: For the LORD gives [skillful and godly] wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. (Proverbs 2:6)
Ø Let the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Wisdom have His way in your life: The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD. (Isaiah 11:2)
Ø This enables you to be filled with the Holy Spirit and Wisdom (Acts 6:3)
May God give you wisdom where you lack it on Jesus’ name.
May the knowledge and understanding that comes from the mouth of God, guide you and give you victory, cause you to excel and be above in Jesus’ name.
· The place of the grace of God in excelling and shining.
Grace has been defined as unmerited favor. The grace of God caused Solomon to be selected above his elder brother to be king. He was granted exceptional wisdom which caused him to shine. God’s grace will single you out and cause you to excel and shine in Jesus mighty name.
· The impact of favor with God and people.
Jesus was in favour with God and people. I pray that you will always have favour before God and people in Jesus’ name.
Prayer:
1. Father, give me wisdom, grace, and favour to excel and shine in the name of Jesus.

4. Lord, the wisdom I need to excel, give it to me in the name of Jesus.
5. Lord, give me your grace and favour I require to move forward in the name of Jesus.
6. Powers saying, I will not succeed, I bind you and cast you into the bottomless pit in Jesus name.
7. Powers standing against my peace and progress, expire in the name of Jesus.
8. Power to get wealth, come upon my life in Jesus’ name.
9. I receive healing and deliverance from every sickness and difficult situation in Jesus’ name.
10.Father lay your hand of healing and deliverance on our loved ones with special needs in Jesus’ name.
11.My life and family are shielded with the blood of Jesus against every attack from the kingdom of darkness in Jesus’ name.
12.I receive the anointing of ease in my endeavors in Jesus’ name.

I pray for you that:
May the Spirit of the LORD will rest on you, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength and the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD in Jesus name.
May you be filled with the Holy Spirit and with wisdom that brings about being outstanding and being singled out for promotion and excellence in Jesus’ name.
God who gave Solomon wisdom will give you wisdom to stand out and shine in Jesus’ name.
May God grant you skillful and godly wisdom that will place you at the top in Jesus’ name.
The wisdom that will protect you from danger, may God give you to you in Jesus’ name.
In Ecclesiastes 9:16, the Bible states that wisdom is better than strength. May God give you the wisdom to defeat opposing forces stronger than you in Jesus’ name.
In Ecclesiastes 9:18, the Bible states that wisdom is better than weapons. May God give you the wisdom to defeat opposing forces more equipped than you in Jesus’ name.
According to Ecclesiastes 10:10, may God give you the wisdom that is profitable to direct in Jesus’ name. Receive the wisdom that will make you to succeed in Jesus’ name.
