Give thanks in all situations - Part 2 Prayers: 1. Give thanks and praises to the Most-High God, the creator of the heavens and the earth. 2. Father, I thank you for all things and every situation concerning my life, family, health, finances, career, academics, business, ministry, etc. and destiny in the name of Jesus. 3. Faithful God, perfect all that concerns me by the power in the blood of Jesus.
Text: Psalm 107 We should thank Him because: 1. He forgave us – as far as the east is from the west so has He removed our sins from us.
but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory [as conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.
For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world—our [continuing, persistent] faith [in Jesus the Son of God]. AMP It is better to initially fail or fall at something that will eventually succeed and succeed in the end than to succeed at something that will eventually fail. The Wright brothers. “- Orville Wright (August 19, 1871 – January 30, 1948) and Wilbur Wright (April 16, 1867 – May 30, 1912), worked concentratedly on building machines that could fly – machines heavier than air and at the end they were successful. I believe they did not get there at their first attempt, they did not give up and kept on trying until the succeeded similar to Thomas Edison who did not give up while trying to develop the light bulb who said: · “I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.” ― Thomas A. Edison.
Come what may, may you overcome at last.
From our text in Psalm 107, note that it is important to be thankful to God because: 1. God is the strength of your soul (v5). When you are hungry for things you desire and need, and your soul is fainting, God is able to sustain you so that your soul will not faint and satisfy your hunger and thirst.
Some are hungry for food, some are hungry for jobs, some are hungry for marriage partners, some are hungry for shelter. Your lack, your greatest points of need are your points of hunger.
Some are thirsty for a greater knowledge of God, some are thirsty for more anointing or fire, some are thirsty for knowledge, some for breakthroughs, some for peace, safety, security, joy etc.
Your points of thirst and hunger if not satisfied, often leads to fainting.
The hunger and thirst often lead to weariness, tiredness, weakness and unfortunately some stifle off, dry off, wither and are no more.
That will not be your portion in the name of Jesus.
May God meet you at the point of your need, satisfy your hungry and thirsty soul in Jesus’ name.
2. Only God can deliver out of darkness and bring into the light (v10, 14).
3. Only God can deliver from death and the shadow of death and bring into sustained life.
4. Only God can deliver you from being bound in affliction and iron fetters (v11).
May God deliver you from every affliction in the name of Jesus. May bondage of affliction break away from your life, family and destiny in Jesus’ name.
5. God can give you the tenacity to bounce back as He strengthens your soul.
When Thomas Edison’s factory got burnt in 1914, he did not break down or become angry, rather he vowed to start rebuilding the following day. He did precisely that and Thomas Edison and his team went on to make almost $10 million revenue the following year. God is able to give you the tenacity to bounce back and recover what was lost. He did it for David and his men in 1 Samuel 30. May God restore good things you have lost in the name of Jesus.
Prayer Father, I thank you because you are the strength of my soul.

Hebrews 13:20-21 20Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Declarations I pray for you that your point of needs will be met in the name of Jesus. May iron bondage fashioned against you break in the name of Jesus. May powers that held you in affliction and iron bondage be arrested and held in affliction and iron bondage by the mercy and power in the blood of Jesus in the name of Jesus.
May you never lack food, jobs, marriage partners, shelter, clothing, knowledge of God, anointing, fire, breakthroughs, sound health, more than enough finances, wealth, peace, safety, joy and whatever your heart desires in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
